FAQs

Q. How frequently should my dog be groomed?
A. Long coated dogs should be groomed every 4-6 weeks. This ensures their hair does not get matted, is not harboring insects, or hiding skin conditions.

Q. What if I only want to groom my dog every 3-4 months?
If you intend to groom your dog every 3 to 6 months, we are not the right groomer for you. We have very limited availability and only accept clients who desire grooming services be done regularly. We aim to see our clients at least every 6 to 7 weeks.

Q. How long does the grooming process usually take?
The grooming process usually takes 2 to 3 hours. This may change depending on coat condition and behavior. We do not rush your dog through grooming procedures. We use the time to make sure your dog is thoroughly cleaned and we hand dry all our clients.

Q. Do you have same-day service?
No, as our schedule is typically booked weeks in advance. Most clients pre-book their next appointment prior to leaving the salon.

Q. Can I stay with my dog during the grooming?
No, Dogs are more calm and better behaved during grooming when the owner is not present. When the owner is present, the dog is so focused on the owner that it disrupts the grooming process. The dog will bark, try to lunge o the table, become very excited with the idea of you coming over to pet him/her. This makes the task harder and more dangerous for the groomer and the client. Working with sharp tools makes it necessary to have 100% of the dog’s attention on the groomer. We use scissors and other sharp tools around your dog’s eyes and other tender parts of the body. This can cause serious unnecessary accidents to occur.
Q. Does the grooming package includes photography session and will I receive my dog’s photo?
No. We do not oer any photo sessions. If photos appear on our social media accounts, it is just a reflection of my passion and personal hobby I have for this profession. It is not part of the grooming.

Q. Will my pet be sedated?
We never sedate dogs, nor do we accept dogs that have been sedated. If a dog is truly uncooperative or made uncomfortable by the grooming process, we may end the grooming session early or incomplete, but we will never sedate your dog. If your dog requires sedation in order to be groomed, we recommend you contact your veterinarian directly.

Q. What is No Show or last minute cancellation fee?
We appreciate if you could give at least 48 hours notice if you cannot make it to your appointment. We’re a small salon and can only groom a limited number of dogs per day. It means lost of income for us when we can't fill in the last minute cancellation spot. No show or last minute cancellation will results in a cancellation fee. This fee will be applied to your next booking. A second occurrence will require the charge to be paid prior to the setting your next appointment. Two or more no shows, your account will likely be closed and you will be unable to make any future booking with us.

Q. Does my dog need to be fully vaccinated?
Yes, please bring a long copy of your dog vaccination records with you on your first visit. It is in the best interest for your dog as well as all other dogs that come to the salon.

Q. When can I bring my puppy for its first groom?
We can groom your puppy when he’s fully vaccinated, which is usually around 16 weeks. It is important to get them comfortable with grooming as close to that as possible, so they become used to the grooming process as they age. Their first visit can be a bath and tidy.
